Czech Republic's capital Prague, also known as the "Golden City", attracts its tourists with its rich culture, history and stunning architecture. What Prague is also famous for, especially among young travellers, is its nightlife. The city has various amazing bars and night clubs and they surely all offer lots of fun. However, there are some places that are more worth a visit than others. I've been to Prague twice and these are my favourite spots for guaranteed fun!
1. Duplex
Starting off with a classic, Duplex is one of Prague's most famous night clubs. And honestly, it would deserve even more attention in my opinion. The club is a rooftop club, as soon as you enter, the security staff brings you to an elevator and this elevator brings you to the first floor of the club. The decor inside is amazing and the toilets were very clean, especially for a club. Through stairs you have also access to the rooftop. Depending on the event the club can get rather crowded, but that's perfect for someone that wants to meet lots of people. The entry was not pricy at all (around 220CZK, which would equal to 9€) the day I went, the music was amazing and the vibe immaculate. Definitely worth to spend a night at. Attention, you cannot enter the club if you are younger than 18 years old.
LITTLE TIP: Avoid getting pictures from the photographer, our photos turned out terrible (we all looked like aliens).
2. Popocafepetl
Don't lie, you giggled reading the name, too. Now, this one is not a night club, but it's a little secret tip of mine. When I was in Prague with my school we went to this bar every night. It's quite hidden, but you won't regret checking it out, I promise. When entering you have to go down some stairs. It seems almost like a bunker, there is also no internet connection down there. However, the vibes are truely amazing. There is awesome energy and the small dancing floor is always packed with people. And now the best part: The drinks are extremely affordable. You can get an Aperol Spritz for 55CZK (2€) or a Gin Tonic for 85CZK (~3,50€), for example. But pay attention, you have to be at least 18 years old to enter the bar.
3. Karlovy Lazne
Here's another classic for you. If you ever talked or researched about Prague's nightlife you surely came across Karlovy Lazne. It's the biggest music club of Central Europe, made of 5 floors. Each floor offers a different kind of music style. What's also really cool in this club is, that they have an ice bar and a robotic bar, which you can visit also during day-time. They have cool music and in the robotic bar you can have your cocktail made by the robots. Watching them is a lot of fun. However, I was quite disappointed from the club itself, since I think it's a little overhyped. The many floor are nice, but not extremely special. Nevertheless the club is worth a visit, anyways. You can enter already at 16 years old, so that's an advantage for younger people as well.
4. Durty Nelly's
As the fourth place I have another bar for you. This time it's a karaoke-bar and irish pub at the same time. It looks quite small from the outside, but is unexpectedly big on the inside. The bar has various floors and bars. I personally had the most fun on the karaoke floor, since there were more people. The drinks you can get are very nice, as well as quite affordable. What's also great, especially for the younger ones, is that there is no age limit for the entrance. Definitely recommend!
5. Epic
Last on the list is the nightclub Epic. Now, it is on the list since I thought the club was very pretty. The music was nice and there were many people. However, I have to criticise that the price for the entrance was rather pricey and the club was also quite untidy. Nevertheless, it was a nice evening we spent there. Again, you need to be 18 years old to enter this club.
